Having spent 15 years as a Co-Chairman and Trustee's, we have seen what has made our event so successful. Of course it is the participation by all of you, a solid committee and the celebrity component. We have spent the past 2 years looking for an individual to lend their name to the tournament and failed to secure anyone. From experience we know without a quality individual in the Honorary Chairman position, it becomes extremely difficult to bring the type of people to the event that helps makes it so successful.
In light of this predicament, we have decided to suspend the Sandman Harvest Celebrity Golf Classic for 2011. At this time we would like to think we can continue in 2012 should we put the proper individual or individuals in place, but we can not give you any confirmation this will happen. Please go to our websites for future updates as to the tournament and foundation status. It is important to note that the Sandman Harvest Foundation is in place and will continue to seek out beneficiaries as long as the funds are available.
Once again, we would like to thank you for all you have done. You are all the reason our Foundation has been fortunate enough to assist so many less fortunate children in the Okanagan.
