On behalf of the people of Sandman Hotels, Inns & Suites, Moxie's Classic Grill, Denny's Restaurants and Shark Clubs, I would like to welcome you to the Sandman Harvest Celebrity Golf Classic.

Many of you have supported us over the past twelve years, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support.

Last year marked the inception of our Josh Dyck Foundation. Josh was severely injured last year as a result of a tragic motor vehicle accident. I have been personally involved with this courageous 5 year old and his family over the past few months, and it is our pledge to bring assistance and hope to a young boy that will likely need our help for many years to come. The Josh Dyck Foundation will be one of many named beneficiaries of our tournament.

Our mandate has, and always will be, to create hope and opportunity for sick and disadvantaged children residing in the Okanagan Valley. Over the past 12 years, we have raised over $675,000 in aid of this cause, and we will continue to build on this in the decade that lies ahead.

I would also like to thank the tremendous group of people that serve on our Committee and recognize their dedication and commitment, and all of the volunteers for which without them there would be no success.

This year our Celebrity host is once again Chuck Kobasew of the Boston Bruins, and formerly of the Kelowna Rockets. I can't say enough about Chuck's contribution to this event. His enthusiasm is infectious to say the least.
